If you folded it up tightly enough, you could fit it in your pocket. That being said, I don't understand why Coleman decided to make this an accessory purchase, rather than include it with the tent, unless they only have profits in mind, and not the customer or quality of their products. It's something that's included in even the cheapest of Walmart tents. If it rains, you don't want to not have a rainfly attached. On our instant tent, there is a vent in the roof that unless it's open, you get condensation all over the tent walls. If it's raining, you obviously can't open the vent, because water will get in, so you have the choice of a slow drip, or getting your sleeping bag, clothes and everything else wet with sweat, hot breath and rain water condensation. I live in New Zealand where Coleman advertise the tent with a much more comprehensive fly, which is what I thought I would get. Apparently, although it is the same company, as I now know,they make different variations which are not interchangeable. So, buyer beware! It was a cheap purchase, and will serve some purpose, but maybe Amazon shouldn't advertise items like this unless they have a picture!A request to the NZ distributor has gone without reply, so although I got replies from the US and Australia, I'm still waiting to find out if I can get what I originally wanted.
